So stunning you’ll think you’ve been to the exhibition. This wonderfully designed, glossy and magnificent companion to the exhibition of the same name will give you the lowdown from top scholars on the Sikh kingdoms’ paintings (royalty, romance and warriors), armaments, textiles, photography, and jewelry to die for. You can almost sit in the throne of Maharajah Ranjit Singh. It is a visual splendor.
Press Review
Excellent introduction and a perfect souvenir ...The illustrations in the book are stunning, but the text is even more interesting (although let down by poor editing which has allowed frequent repetitions). Written by experts, but for a lay audience, it gives the lowdown and the high points of Sikh culture from the creation of the religion to long after the British annexed the Punjab in 1849 and is both an excellent introduction and a perfect souvenir.
